ASSISTANCE CENTER OF TOWSON CHURCHES (ACTC):

ACTC provides the following:

• Groceries every 2 weeks for families.
• Weekday lunches for the homeless.
• Gas vouchers for doctor appointments and job-related needs.
• Emergency funds for evictions preventions and utility shut offs and must be applied for online.

Parishioners Provide the following:

• February/October – Provide boxes of cookies that are distributed to the cabins for snacks for students.
• Easter – Parishioners contribute items that would normally be in an Easter Basket for children to enjoy.  In addition to sweets, healthy items are collected also.  In 2021 our volunteer and the auxiliary filled 63 Easter baskets for the children.
• Beginning of school year – Provide book bags, pencils, paper, pencils and journals
• Halloween – Provide candy, fruit cups or energy bars and fill treat bag for the children.
• Christmas – Parishioners provide gifts from children’s lists.  The auxiliary and Providence member prepare gift bags for children.
• Occasional monetary gifts.

Support of the Board of Child Care is an important, gratifying and appreciated outreach program at Providence United Methodist Church.
